All the millinery from the Miss Amelia collection is entirely handcrafted from the finest silks and velvets and trimmed with a stunning array of lace, flowers, feathers and ornate silk and satin braid. I will often use vintage and antique trims to get exactly the right effect.
The insides of the crowns are lined, quite often with an attractive contrasting fabric and in most cases the brims are wired to give the elegant shapely curves of the period.
While I make all my hats to 12th scale, as in real life, the head sizes of dolls may vary. To ensure a correct fit please forward measurements if the hat is to be worn.
I love to create new designs so if you are looking for a particular style or colour please let me know. Many of my customers have had 'real life' hats that they have wanted to be duplicated into 12th scale to fit a reproduction miniature setting.
